The 141eyewear.com Wizard

Since starting 141, we have had the opportunity to work with some incredibly talented people. A few months ago, I posted a blog which gave some props to our good friend, Erick Goto, who created our entire brand identity through his studio, & Proper.

For this post, I want to recognize the work done by our web designer and developer, Josh Ellington. You can check out his homepage here. Pretty simple, but super cool. You see all of those sites on the left? Well those aren’t only sites he likes; those are sites he has DEVELOPED. The kid has some pretty amazing skills. I heard that his co-workers refer to him as “The Wizard”…perhaps because Josh looks as old as Fred Savage in this movie…although I’m sure it has something to do with his abilities as a web designer/developer.

When we started 141, I was thinking that I would try to design/develop our webpage. I had DreamWeaver CS3 on my MacBook so how hard could it be, right? Wrong. After hours (seriously, hours) of trying to get a decent looking homepage, I gave up. I reached out to a good friend who put me in touch with Josh, and I’m so thankful that he did. Sooch and I gave Josh a brief on what we wanted our site to represent, and he over-delivered…by a lot!

Like I said, since starting 141, Sooch and I have been able to work with some incredibly talented people. Josh and Goto are only a couple. As we continue to grow, we’ll continue to recognize some of the brilliant minds which have been able to help shape our brand and community.

You can tell Josh how much you love the site by leaving us a comment or checking out his homepage and shooting him an email yourself. Just make sure to ask if he wears the Power Glove while developing web pages…

Stay Glassy,
Kyle
